Vaping has become incredibly popular in recent times. This is largely because it looks cool and is much less damaging than cigarette smoking – at least that’s what we think so far. However, one problem that many people find when their new to vaping, is that they just don’t know how to choose a decent juice. Today, we’re going to help you do this by giving you some guidance about the various types on offer.

First, though, you need to be aware that – as with food – people have different preferences. You might find that your friends make recommendations to you about an amazing juice they’ve just found, only for you to try it and feel disappointed. That’s because you’re all looking for different things from your juices and what appeals to one person, might not appeal to another person.

Instead, to find your favourite juice, you need to understand what the various qualities of e liquids vape juiceare and how you like these particular qualities. Below, we are going to break this down for you.

Quality 1: Propylene Glycol (PG)

This is the part of the PG that carries the flavour. In terms of vape experience, the greater the PG content, the harder the hit on the back of your throat.

If you’re a seasoned smoker, and you like the feeling of drawing back (i.e. when you suck on the cigarette), then you will prefer a higher PG content because it mimics smoking in a relatively accurate way.

PG is flavourless, so it does not alter the taste of the juice at all. PG tends to produce relatively small plumes of smoke.

There have been some issues with sensitivity to PG in some people. This can cause mild throat irritation. If this happens to you, simply choose a juice that contains less PG.

 Quality 2: Vegetable Glycerine (VG)

This is the part of the vape juice that allows you to create huge plumes of vape. People who like a high concentration of VG often do so because they can make huge clouds and even blow some complex vape rings.

VG has a sweet flavour, and so it can change the taste of your vape juice, making it sweeter. For some, the sweetness is too much, and they like to mix a larger amount of PG to VG to counter the effects.

The vape produced by high VG content is much less rough on the throat than with a high PG content. If you don’t particularly like a strong throat hit, you should choose a juice with a higher VG to PG ratio.

Quality 3: The Flavour

The final ingredient in vape juices is flavour. There are hundreds to choose from, so you should shop around to find those that appeal to you. Remember that the flavour may be affected by the VG content, making it much sweeter. If you don’t like sweet flavours, but you like high VG, then opt for a bitterer choice of flavour. This will then mix with the VG and create a milder sweetness.

So, remember this: PG gives a stronger throat hit while VG is smooth. VG makes your juices taste sweeter, while PG has very little effect on the juice. VG creates bigger vape clouds than PG. Most e-juices contain a mixture of the two, and you should decide on your juice depending on which sensations you like the best.

Hopefully, you now have a much better idea about the ratios you would prefer from your juices. If you’re ready to buy vape juice online, please visit The Black Shop online store.
